A REAL Police Chief tells it as it is

Published by Stephanie under Daily Journal

This was sent to me from a very good friend of mine and I wanted to share this with you. To see if you agree.

I do.

San Francisco Police Officer Nick Birco was killed July 26, 2006 when his police car was struck by a stolen van occupied by suspects who had just committed an armed robbery and were being pursued by SFPD units.

This video was of a press conference given by a member of the SFPD brass. This demonstrates how administrators should act.

After you have listened to the video, come back to me and let me know if you also agree.

Become Rave-Worthy

You may or may not get Robin Sharma’s monthly newsletter, so just in case you don’t I want to share with you his words.  Very simple, to the point but of course may be a challenge to some.

Here are some strategies for becoming Rave-Worthy:

JBN (Just Be Nice): Please and thank you go a long way. Treat every customer as if they were a friend in your home.

Do What You Say You’ll Do: Show up on time (there’s no early; just on time and late). Respond to email or phone calls promptly. Honour your commitments.

Make It Easy to Work With You: Is it a hassle to get in touch with the right people at your organization? Are return policies confusing? Are meetings productive?

Listen: Honour your customers with 100% of your attention. Listen deeply and ask questions to find out what they really want.

Under Promise and Over Deliver: Give them more than they have a right to ask for.

Remember for things to change - you must change.  Jim Rohn

Bob Proctor and Trying Harder

I had the pleasure of attending a lecture at the University of Toronto with about 200 people to listen to Bob Proctor. Now you must realize that 200 people is a very small number in comparison to some of the seminars that Bob Proctor speaks.

He had the audience captivated for over 2 hours. The energy he has can put most of us to shame. Below is a small segment. A True Story by Price Pritchett.

Desire

Second Edition of Generating Wealth

Let’s share one of the most powerful elements of achieving extraordinary success in your life: DESIRE! Napoleon Hill, in his breakthrough work, Think and Grow Rich, stated “Whatever the Mind of Man can Conceive and Believe it can Achieve.

Now, many people today live their entire life based on limitation. They have no problem in dreaming & conceiving what they want in their life, the challenge comes in actually believing it’s possible. Many people base their wants and their desires on what they believe they can afford or what they’ll have time for or what they believe they are capable of. Well, in order to achieve extraordinary success you have to move beyond those limitations and develop the desire to make our dreams into reality.

Now, desire is much more powerful than just a “want” or a “wish” - it’s a burning passion in our core that moves us to take extraordinary actions. It moves us beyond those perceived limitations to actually make our dreams our reality.

What do you desire for yourself in your life? Take some time this week and think, if there were no limitations in your life and you had endless financial resources and an abundance of time, what would you be, do and have in your life right now today. Write down what you have envisioned for your life and we’ll talk soon about the next step in transforming your desire into reality.
